It’s April and our thoughts are consumed by the warmer weather and brighter days ahead. DPI is busy daydreaming about the stellar upcoming summer outings of 2017. Whether it's department outings, small VIP experiences, or casual company parties, we have fun ideas to share!

Twist on Traditional Clambake

If you’re looking to breakaway from the traditional clambake but still want that authentic experience, change up the look by opting out those red and white checkered linens for luxe blues. Accent with textures, bold colors and fun patterns!

Rowing Races

We know who's competitive in the office...but who's more ambitious on the water? Bring your company together for an afternoon of spirited team camaraderie and competitive fun. Sip on refreshing local beers during an outdoor clambake and enjoy great conversation as the sun sets over the Charles River.

Interactive Lawn Games

Include a playful cocktail hour for guests and bring in giant versions of everyone’s favorite tabletop games! It’s a fun way to break the ice. Who doesn't like friendly competition and sharing a few laughs? Make it more personalized and incorporate your company logo on the game pieces.

Oyster and Wine Pairing

Coffee might pair well with a donut at your desk, but do you know which type of wine pairs perfectly with oysters? If you have a small intimate group size, this is a first-class option. Take it to the next level and have the activity take place on a boat in the harbor, now that’s a coastal experience!

Summer Glow Festival

Make the city come alive with a company wide outdoor festival in downtown Boston. From food truck facades, to bistro lighting, classic picnic tables, strolling entertainment, and custom glow bars, this summer event will leave your guests glowing, literally!

The time is now for corporate planners to start planning summer events. Let's work together to craft an unforgettable summer experience here in Boston!

DPI's Favorite Ways to Get Around Boston

DPI's Favorite Ways to Get Around Boston

Boston is often referred to as “America’s walking city” and when traveling the historic streets you will see many diverse neighborhoods that radiate all of Boston’s local culture and antiquity. Our city’s smaller footprint allows for some unique transportation options for getting around, whether it’s to a one of a kind Boston experience or gala celebration. These out of the box transportation options offer a departure from the traditional motor coach transfer and are a great way to experience the city on a more intimate level. Below are a few of team DPI’s favorite ways to transfer guests around the city.

Boston Pedicab

Pedicab works great for smaller groups in the summer, especially those guests who are headed out to catch a game at Fenway Park! The Pedicabs offer an intimate way to experience the city and the hustle and bustle of the downtown areas.

Boston Duck Boats

The Duck Boats have a very special place in the hearts of all Bostonians as it is our vehicle of choice for our sports champions during our city’s celebration parades. You will often hear the term, “Cue the Duck Boats.” These classic W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicles are themed Boston style and have the ability to transfer guests on land and sea. Our favorite part of the Duck Boat transfer when using for special events are the authentic drivers who give a one of a kind tour of the city experience.

Old Town Trolley

Who doesn’t love a classic open air trolley ride? Old Town Trolley provides a traditional means of getting around the city paired with a history lesson by a seasoned Boston tour guide. These trolleys have traveled every inch of the city and are one of the best ways for your guests to explore every nook and cranny. DPI events loves to utilize the trolley’s when transferring guests to any of Boston’s historic event venues, the guided tour on the trolley before the event really brings guest into the moment.

Water Taxi

This style of transportation allows for some unique nautical style transfer. Many of Boston’s most attractive event venues, activities and hotels are located along the edge of the Boston Harbor. The water taxis are a great way to get your guests on the water and experience the classic Boston Harbor. DPI Events knows the best options for docking throughout the city and love working with our clients to bring this option to their events.

Spring Forecast: Farm Fete

Spring Forecast: Farm Fete

Every year we look forward to the release of Pantone's color of the year and the creative ways we can bring the tone into our event designs.

This year’s color certainly doesn't disappoint; greenery is an excellent tone that can work as a solid base color or perfect accent color. We put our design and custom decor team to the test recently with a client request to bring a touch of Spring into their event during the chilly winter months in Boston. Combining the new color of the year and a theme that represents community, fresh air and greenery, we crafted a Traditional New England Farmers Market event design.

“I gotta go see about a girl” - Good Will Hunting

It’s Valentine's Day! Team DPI believes there’s no better way to express our love for Boston than through Boston based films. While many people take today to recognize their loved ones, celebrating at romantic spots in cities all over, DPI Events is taking today to show our love for the city we know best, BOSTON. There's so much to love about Boston and therefore it makes our job as Boston Event Planners much easier when promoting all that our city has to offer. From its deeply rooted history, devoted sports fans, wicked strong accents, cultural  foods, to it’s charming urban neighborhoods. We are proud to call “The Hub” our home.

Coming to Your Senses

Coming to Your Senses

Meeting and event design is evolving, and participant’s expectations are high. Our clients have been focusing heavily on how to make that shift from, traditional information-dump, all eyes on the stage to, focusing more on the participants and their exchange of ideas and experiences. DPI’s main goal is to steer our clients to success when it comes to brainstorming and creating these interactive experiences.

Ringing in the new year is always exciting, especially when it involves doing something as a team. Here at DPI Events, we are all about TEAM.

Every year before breaking for the holidays, we spend a day off site in our amazing city. We launched into 2017 with the theme “Collaborate in Color” at the Revere Hotel followed by an engaging scavenger hunt through the wintery streets of Boston. Things got pretty competitive -- Team ThinkPink aka The Sales Team, brought their high energy, top-performance, “whatever it takes” attitude, and claimed the win! The day was truly spent in company of great colleagues, having an open conversation full of inspiration, colorful ideas, and laughs… LOTS of laughs. A huge shout out from our team to the Revere Hotel for hosting us this year and making us all feel welcome!
